Dial-A-Battery Reinforces Strong Presence in Abu Dhabi After Expanding into Sharjah

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: The second year of operations for roadside rescue service Dial-A-Battery has seen a 200 percent growth in sales compared to the same period in 2012.

Tahir Ali, Operations Manager for the 24 hour emergency car battery replacement service, says that 2013 to-date has been a remarkable year of growth for the company, as a result of increased word-of-mouth and delivering on a truly unique value proposition.

“We really refined our offering during the first year of operations; we tested our capabilities and defined what we really want to do, and how we want to do it, so that we could implement it over the next few years. What we've seen is an extremely positive reaction across the entire country,” Ali said. “We started in Abu Dhabi on October of last year, and the market has responded so overwhelmingly that we already have plans to double our vehicle fleet as well as potentially invest in a warehouse to stock the required load of batteries.”

The company's expansion into Abu Dhabi was the second expansion in as many years, having previously set up operations in Sharjah following pleasing results in Dubai.

This spike coincides with the Abu Dhabi government's directive that vehicle service centres will no longer be given a licence to operate inside the city. Instead they are now being instructed to work from premises in the industrial areas away from the capital's built-up, residential environments.

But it's not just the convenience factor that sets Dial-A-Battery apart, Ali continues, but also the customer and aftersales service offered from a quality team offering a quality product.

That differential has been enough to set it apart from all of Dubai's other battery sales outfits, but it has also helped the Dial-a-Battery brand cement its place in the minds of thousands of consumers across the country, many of whom now think of the brand even before phoning a spouse, when in time of emergency.

Dial-A-Battery was launched in Dubai in November 2011 for drivers requiring emergency car battery replacement, with the service since expanding into Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Motorists requiring assistance call a free helpline number and have their location confirmed by a text message, with the Dial-A-Battery operator then sending the request to their dispatch teams. The company is a subsidiary of A-MAP, a leading UAE-based distributor of automotive spare parts and accessories.
