Jacky's Electronics celebrates 25th anniversary in the UAE

Creating blueprint to cater to US$3.97 billion electronics retail market by 2015
 
Dubai, UAE, 29th July 2013: Jacky's Electronics, the UAE's leading multi-brand consumer electronics retailer, has reached another milestone in its long list of achievements, celebrating its 25th anniversary in the United Arab Emirates.

Capitalising on the UAE's consumer electronics retail market since 1988, the company expects to further expand its footprint in the market expected to be worth US$3.97 billion by 2015 through various partnerships and exponential growth.

The company is expected to serve one of the Gulf's largest electronics sectors that accounts for close to 40 per cent of regional spending, a potential market of almost two billion people across Asia and the Middle East. Jacky's is highlighting its status as one of the pioneers in the consumer electronics sector in the UAE as part of its anniversary celebrations.

“We have come a long way over the past two decades having experienced the start of the retail boom in the late 90s,” said Jacky Panjabi, Chairman and founder of the retail giant. “We have firmly established our presence in the UAE consumer electronics retail sector and for 25 years, Jacky's Electronics has always been the strongest contributors to this sector, having set precedence for several popular consumer marketing initiatives and campaigns during major events such as Gitex Shopper, Dubai Shopping Festival and Dubai Summer Surprises among others.”

Since opening its first flagship outlet in Al Nasr Square, Dubai's old business district in 1988, Jacky's Electronics has been offering the latest gadgets and electronics products to consumers, providing every IT needs of residents and tourists alike in the country. The company is now present in major malls across the emirates – in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Al Ain, Abu Dhabi.

Having taken on the mantle of leadership in the new millennium, Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer of Jacky's Electronics, has pushed the company to achieve an organic growth of 12 per cent from same-store sales last year. Jacky's is continually recording increased sales and footfalls in its outlets particularly in Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates, including its outlets outside Dubai.

In the coming years, we have a blueprint that will ensure the strengthening our loyal customers' trust in Jacky's as a brand, continuously providing them with the latest products in the market,” said Ashish.

Constantly driving the evolution of the retail concept, the company is consistently offering consumer immersive experience through seamless communication and accessibility combining both offline and online tools by using different social media platforms. Jacky's was also among the pioneers in the local IT sector to use social media to interact and engage with customers.  

Over the years, Jacky's has developed programmes that greatly benefit its customers such as Jacky's Extended Warranty, Jacky's Device Protection programme among others, and Jacky's Eco-Care in partnership with Dubai Cares. The company has also implemented the first-ever tablet-based e-raffle, the largest electronic raffle draw that took place at Gitex Shopper 2012.
