Dubai, UAE, March 27, 2018:   Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East today announced the first edition of Global Leaders Forum, a gathering in Dubai of government and business leaders from around the region to discuss plans for growth and opportunities around the world. The one-day conference will take place at Armani Hotel Dubai on April 3, 2018.

Thought-leaders will discuss the trends, challenges and the best paths forward for developing the region's economies and societies in a sustainable way at the Global Leaders Forum. 

“The Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East Global Leaders Forum will bring together some of the brightest minds in the region to discuss issues of critical regional and national importance, from economic diversification to smart cities and energy. The overriding aim of the forum is to generate positive conversation and debate that will ultimately show how the Middle East can transform its challenges into opportunities,” said Poonam Chawla, General Manager, Bloomberg Businessweek Middle East.  

The day-long event will explore challenges that governments, businesses and societies face in fostering innovation and being more sustainable, and the opportunities presented by following a more sustainable agenda. 

The high-profile speaker list at the event includes H.E Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Industry – UAE; H.E. Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Sharjah Investment Development Authority (Shurooq); Younus Al Nasser, Assistant Director General of Smart Dubai Office; Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of Dubai Multi Commodity Centre; Fahd Al-Rasheed, Group CEO & MD of King Abdullah Economic City; Hussain Sajwani, Chairman of DAMAC Properties; Mustafa Kheriba, Group COO of Abu Dhabi Financial Group; Hamed Zaghw, Chief Executive, Middle East of AECOM; Peter England, CEO of RAKBANK & Osman Sultan CEO of du amongst others.

The forum will serve as a platform for leaders to engage, network, discuss and learn about the best practices from global leaders. It will attract professionals, entrepreneurs, investors, political leaders, change agents and promising leaders to connect and network, under one roof. Through interactive sessions, the focus will be on gauging the expected impact of new economic developments in the coming years, identifying the areas for change and improvement in policy-making and understanding how business leaders can embrace disruption to remain competent.
