Competition challenged third year Business students to apply classroom marketing fundamentals to real-life situations
Winners were presented with one year affiliate membership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing
Dubai, UAE, 13 February 2017: Tomorrow's marketing leaders were given the opportunity to apply their classroom skills and knowledge to real world situations during Middlesex University Dubai's Top Marketing Consultants Competition, held at the University's Knowledge Park campus on 13 December 2016.
Held in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, four teams of third year students from the University's Business program participated in the annual event.
Applying their classroom marketing fundamentals to a real-life situation for an international luxury fashion brand, teams presented their analysis recommendations to a panel of six marketing experts including Mr. Raj Achan, Brand Ambassador for CIM and Mr. Ali Ozbay, Managing Director at Beautiful Minds.
“The judging panel drew on their years of experience to provide participants with constructive feedback throughout the competition, giving students the opportunity to learn from the collective experience of this impressive group of marketing experts,” said Dr.Vijay Pujari, Campus Programme Coordinator - MA Marketing Communications, Middlesex University Dubai
“The Middlesex University of Dubai's Top Marketing Consultants gave students the opportunity to see how the knowledge and skills they learnt during their studies applied to a real-world scenario.”
“It challenged students to apply their marketing fundamentals to provide outcomes to help their client achieve their marketing needs – just as they will do when they embark on their professional careers,” said Dr. Pujari.
For their efforts, the winning team of Aakash Anil Kukreja, Fehmeed Ali Kazmi, Puneet Phulwani and Tony Dike Eke, were presented with one year affiliate membership with CIM.
