Eros Group employees join Dubai Municipality's Car Free Day

Dubai, UAE, February 6, 2017:  More than 300 employees from Eros Group walked from the Mall of the Emirates Metro Station to Eros House in Al Barsha to mark and support Dubai Municipality’s Car Free Day. The environmentally friendly initiative organized by the civic body is now in its 8th consecutive year. The group gathered at the station after using the Metro and began their walk at 8:00 a.m. and took 20 minutes to reach Eros House.

“Every year, Eros employees are keen to take part in this initiative and they were yet again excited to be part this year in this environmentally friendly initiative,” said Mr. Niranjan Gidwani, Deputy CEO, Eros Group. “We hope this Car Free Day will increase awareness on air pollution, fossil fuel depletion and the increase in carbon dioxide emission and its effect on the environment. Our motoring lifestyle also inadvertently causes traffic accidents, stress and road rage and we hope people realize the impact it has on their health and adopt more environmentally friendly modes of transport like the Dubai Metro and RTA buses.”

This year’s event that occurred on February 5thwas initiated by Dubai Municipality to remind the public on their responsibility towards the environment and to encourage the conservation of the planet’s limited resources.
