Dubai, November 16, 2016:  Emirates Post Group and New Zealand Post discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation when Acting CEO of Emirates Post Group, Mr.  Abdullah Mohammed Ashram, welcomed a New Zealand Post delegation led by the Group CEO Mr. Brian Roche, and Dr. Sohail Choudhry, Executive General Manager and Strategic Adviser, New Zealand Post, at EPG head office in Dubai.

Accompanied by other senior officials, Mr. Al Ashram highlighted some of the opportunities for cooperation and potential areas of joint partnerships and exchange of expertise, and briefed them on EPG's capabilities and operations.

The visiting delegation presented an overview of New Zealand Post including the postal history, mail operations and products and services, while highlighting its achievements and key projects.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Al Ashram expressed the hope that the visit would provide a good opportunity to get closely acquainted with each other's services.  He said the visit would lead to stronger relations between the two sides, especially in postal areas.

He added that Emirates Post Group strongly supports the national innovation strategy focused on making the UAE one of the best countries in the world by 2021, and be at the forefront of innovation and technological development, including postal areas. That is why EPG is keen to learn from the success stories of other postal administrations, he added.

The delegation visited the Ramool Sorting Centre, and took a look at sorting operations and best practices.
