Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 17 June 2015: The Board of Directors of the Dubai Health Authority ( DHA) held their second meeting yesterday at the DHA headquarters.
The meeting was convened by His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qatami, chairman of the board, during which the board reviewed discussed a number of pertinent topics.
HE Al Qatami said that the board discussed the current regulations for health investment in Dubai. The DHA will form a health investment committee for the promotion and development of health investment in the emirate of Dubai, for services that are needed to further strengthen the health sector and to provide the community will access to highly specialised health care.
Al Qatami also said that a DHA medical council will be formed and that they will report to the higher management on a regular basis. The aim of the council will be to further develop the functioning of the DHA health entities.
In addition to this, the board discussed the importance of provision of smart services and ways to implement them across the DHA, to provide patients with easy access to information and services, which in turn will help further improve patient satisfaction.
Al Qatami said the board discussed the need to further implement medical education programmes so as to ensure a steady flow of highly qualified health professionals.
