UAE, May 12, 2015- REACT, an international not-for-profit cooperative association fighting the trade in counterfeit goods, has named the Arabian Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAA) as its strategic partner in the GCC in the efforts to combat piracy and the proliferation of counterfeit products. The AAA was selected by REACT for its contributions and extreme dedication in curbing piracy in the Middle East region--implementing a comprehensive anti-piracy program that includes strategic activities like public awareness campaigns, aggressive lobbying and legal action against intellectual property rights violators.

Scott Butler, Chairman, Arabian Anti-Piracy Alliance, said, “It is a tremendous honor for Arabian Anti-Piracy Alliance to be selected as REACT's partner for the GCC region, which covers United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. REACT is one of the premier non-profit organizations representing over 200 companies with a strong passion for combating counterfeits globally. We are completely aligned in our goals with REACT and are looking forward to continuing our work with the Arab Federal authorities in protecting their member's IP rights in the region.”

With over 200 members coming from across all industry verticals, REACT has wide experience in dealing with almost all areas of infringing goods. Operating under a large international network with strategically placed offices and partners around the world, the association is positioned as a global proponent in fighting the spread of counterfeit goods. REACT implements various programs and initiatives like a customs enforcement and assistance program, market monitoring, internet monitoring, various workshops and seminars and extends extensive cooperation with law enforcement authorities from all over the world.

“We have chosen to partner with the Arabian Anti-Piracy Alliance because of their excellent quality of service in combating counterfeits. The association was highly recommended by many of our members and we look forward to working closely with them in support of their efforts with the Arab authorities in curbing piracy for our member companies,” concluded Ronald Brohm, Managing Director, REACT.
