Dubai World Central on Track to become a Model Urban Destination

DWC projected to become a destination-of-choice for businesses to set up global and regional headquarters

Dubai-UAE: 06 May, 2015 – By 2020, Dubai World Central (DWC) will have significantly progressed towards becoming a model urban destination, serving as the preferred address for businesses and people, according to Paolo Serra, Vice President at DWC's Business Park.

Serra stated: “DWC is quickly evolving into a self-sustained, futuristic city it is meant to become. By 2020, there will be powerful business and industry synergies operational between DWC, the Al Maktoum International Airport – which will become the world's largest airport when complete – and the Jebel Ali Port.”

Serra was addressing an audience that comprised members of the Middle East Chapter of CoreNet Global, a leading global association for corporate real estate and workplace professionals, service providers and economic developers, and DWC Business Park tenants.

In his speech entitled ‘Strategic Corporate Locations: Dubai ticking the boxes', Paolo also said that Dubai World Central was an innovative urban model that is set to redefine the Dubai experience. In context, he noted that Dubai's value proposition in terms of political, financial and legal appeal, and high quality of life would grow even further with upcoming government policies designed to enrich the UAE's standing as a destination where people live, work and invest over the long-term.

The breakfast networking event was hosted by CoreNet Global and sponsored by Dubai World Central's Business Park.
