April 22, 2015: The 2015 Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) Abu Dhabi opened today (Wednesday, April 22, 2015) at the Beach Rotana Hotel to provide students with information on quality education options from within the UAE and 12 other countries from around the world. GETEX Abu Dhabi runs through Friday, April 24, 2015.

The Abu Dhabi edition of GETEX is timed to align with the primary intake calendar of higher education institutions in the UAE and abroad. The student selection process is in full swing during this period and so the exhibition will take the opportunity to showcase a selection of academic, training, and vocational courses for learners of all age groups predominantly from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain who are keen to explore their study options before enrolling in a university or a course of their choice.

Abu Dhabi's private education sector is witnessing an upward trend fuelled by the rising awareness among students and parents about new education and training options that are crucial to filling the needs of the UAE job market. Additionally, by 2020, the emirate's private schools will need to cater to over 280,000 student placements, translating into higher volumes of school graduates looking for quality higher education. GETEX Abu Dhabi intends to address this growing demand for diversified education and professional training options for Emirati and expatriate learners.

Anselm Godinho, Managing Director, International Conference and Exhibitions (IC&E), organizer of GETEX, said: “The UAE Vision 2021 National Agenda earmarks education as the country's key priority and emphasizes on the development of a first-rate education system. As a brand, GETEX has a reputation for being a comprehensive education and training-focused platform, facilitating the interaction between leaners and education providers for over 27 years. We are upbeat about the launch of GETEX in Abu Dhabi. We intend to bring the best of education and training from around the world to the backyard of students of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Our objective is to provide easy and timely access to information for students.

GETEX Abu Dhabi 2015 will be attended by over 5,000 learners from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain who will network with more than 60 education providers from 12 countries over a period of three days. The show ends on Friday, April 24, 2015.
