Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 1, 2015: The Customer Services Department of the Dubai Health Authority(DHA) organized an introductory workshop in cooperation with Dubai Model Center at the Executive Council of Dubai titled, “Dubai Model for Government Services.”

The aim of the workshop was to provide an overview of the model to DHA employees so that they can implement it to further enhance customer care and healthcare services. The workshop also provided an overview of the criterion for the Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Smart Government award.

The workshop was held at Rashid Hospital's medical library and was attended by over 100 DHA staff members. Senior officials from both sides including Dr. Wafaa Abu Sneina, Advisor of Dubai Model Centre, in the Executive Council of Government of Dubai were present at the event.

Dr Abu Sneina highlighted during her presentation the achievements of the Dubai Model, since its inception in 2012, and how it has directly helped improve customer care and service delivery across governmental organizations in the emirate.

She added that the Model  helps improve efficiency and customer centricity of services and is built around the Dubai context as a unique model for service provision.

Shaikha Al Rahoomi, Director of Customer Relations at the DHA, highlighted the importance of the workshop which will help DHA employees streamline their processes with those of the Model to help further enhance customer care and improve service provision across all DHA entities.

She added that the DHA pays significant emphasis to customer care and service provision and the implementation of the Model will provide a strong tool for the Authority to achieve its objectives in providing highly efficient customer care and state-of-the-art services.

Dr. Suhail Al Rukn, stroke and neurology Consultant and head of stroke unit at Rashid Hospital, who was one of the winners of this year's Hamdan bin Mohammed Programme for Smart Government award highlighted the importance of the Dubai Model in achieving customer centric care and high quality of service provision.
