Star of London's West end takes centre stage as Dubai Christmas Fest opens Tomorrow

Princess Sing-A-Long Concert set to be top hit withchildren atcity's ultimate festive celebration

Dubai, UAE, 10December 2014:‘Twas the night before Christmas… or at least, it's the night before Dubai Christmas Fest opens its merry doors to everyone who wants to celebrate the upcoming happy holidays.

And Christmas may be a few weeks away but the magic has already begun in the city as Dubai Christmas Fest has revealed anexciting new feature for the three day event – the Princess Sing-A-Long Concert.

The musical journey featuring a host of favourite children's movie songs is a concert where renowned star of London's West End stage, Lucy Hunter James will perform a selection of top hit magical songs.

Songs including Beauty and the Beast, A Whole New World and Someday My Prince Will Comewill be performed on the main stage of Dubai Christmas Fest, running this weekend, 11-13 December, at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.

Children are invited to dress up as their all-time favourite Prince or Princess and join in the magical sing-a-long, taking placeon the ICY Extravaganza Stage at 3.15pm on Friday 12 December.  The best dressed Princess or Prince could be in with the chance to join Lucy on the stage and receive anenchanted festive gift.

In addition to Friday's performance, Dubai Christmas Fest will host two additional shows with Lucy Hunter James which will feature a variety of songs from one of this year's favourite hit movies.Children can join in the additional Sing-a-longs with Lucy and friendsat 5.10pm on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 December.
“Performing at Dubai Christmas Fest this year will be one of the highlights of the year for me and a great way to get everyone feeling festive before the big day,” said Hunter James.  “I love working with kids and can't wait to have some of the best dressed princes and princesses up on stage with me, singing along to some all-time favourites.”

The Princess Sing-A-Long isn't the only new feature added to this year's show.  This year's pantomime features Aladdin and the Genie's on a Christmas Adventure, while the new rodeo reindeer and penguin bowling alley are sure to keep children entertained.  Visitors can also take part in favourites from last year such as Dubai's biggest snowball fight and an al fresco skate in the ice rink.

Festive dishes from Dubai's hottest restaurants will be on offer, and local and global retailers have been busy putting their individual twists on festive workshops.  French Bakery will display their magnificent baking skills with delicious Christmastreats, which visitors can take home, while Crate and Barrel returns with plenty of holiday inspiration and gifting ideas.

Tickets are selling fast for both the Dubai Christmas Fest and Aladdin and Genie's Christmas Adventure Pantomime.Children ticketsstart at AED35, while a Gold Adult pass (AED120) provides fast track entry, two drinks vouchers, a mince pie and a Santa's hat as well as access to all festive features.
