Renowned Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar Graces Schneider Electric's Easy9 Launch in Dubai

Dubai-UAE: 25 November, 2014 – Sachin Tendulkar, India's iconic cricketer and brand ambassador of Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF), graced the launch of Easy9 switchgear in Dubai. Schneider Electric's new range of power solutions, Easy9 switchgear provides reliable switchboards for homes and small-sized buildings.

 

The launch event, which took place recently at the InterContinental Hotel, was part of Schneider Electric's GCC-wide launch that included a series of roadshows in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar & Bahrain.

Addressing an audience of 300 top distributors, retailers and channel partners, Tendulkar discussed his association with the Foundation and its commendable CSR initiatives across India. He also applauded Schneider Electric for its commitment to sustainable health, safety and environment (HSE) practices.
Speaking on the occasion, Jean-Baptiste Plagne, Vice President, Retail & Eco Control Business Unit, Schneider Electric, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Sachin Tendulkar, the cricketing legend to our Easy9 launch event for our core customers. As brand ambassador to Schneider Electric India Foundation, he is in a unique position to increase awareness and dialogue on energy management in the region. Schneider Electric will continue to forge key partnerships in line with our commitment to sustainability.”

Easy9 is designed to facilitate electricians to complete their installations swiftly and professionally. The range includes miniature circuit breakers, residual current circuit breakers, surge protection devices, comb busbars, and switchboard enclosures. All Easy9 products are manufactured in Schneider Electric's production units that are IS09000-certified. In addition, the devices are approved by independent authorities as compliant with electrical safety standards.
Under the four pillars of education, employment, entrepreneurship, rural electrification, Schneider Electric India Foundation (SEIF) provides technical training (electrician skills) to unemployed youth and scholarships to help underprivileged students pursue higher education in engineering. Upon the completion of training, the Foundation helps trainees identify suitable employment opportunities or set up businesses by providing access to safe and reliable electricity. Additionally SEIF facilitates electricity access in remote areas that do not have grid supply.
