UAE, November 24, 2014 – ArabiaWeather Inc., the first and a leading private weather company in the Arab World, has revealed that its new mobile app, ‘ArabiaWeather,' the world's first and most accurate Arab weather forecasting app, has been used more than two million times in less than a month of its launch. Made available for both iOS and Android, the ‘ArabiaWeather' app provides key weather forecasts covering more than 5,000 locations within the Arab region. The smart phone app is also one of the first to take advantage of Apple's new ‘Widget' feature—allowing users to activate the ‘Arabia Weather Widget'.

‘ArabiaWeather' app allows users to get the weather information for their area of choice--either hourly, in detail, or as a summary of the next ten days. In addition, users can also receive notifications and warning messages about sudden unstable weather conditions. The app also has a ‘Weather Reminder' feature, which notify users about the weather conditions in a given day and the location they choose in line with their daily schedule such as early in the morning before they leave for work. Other features of the ‘ArabiaWeather' app includes  ‘Lifestyle,' which are recommendations and weather-related tips that can inform users if its suitable to carry out outdoor activities like sports, picnics or trips to the park and even tell you how current weather conditions can affect public health.
Yousef Wadi, co-founder Chief Product Officer, ArabiaWeather Inc. said, “The launch of this new app on iOS and Android looks towards providing users with the most accurate weather information wherever they may be and at any time of the day. With the ‘ArabiaWeather' app, users are easily notified and warned about impending bad weather conditions, so that they can plan ahead and exercise more caution.”

Wadi also added that the app was designed with a more interactive approach in mind. This is evident in the app's ability to change its interface colors to depict change in weather conditions and in temperatures as well. This interesting feature allows users to know weather conditions immediately just by checking on the app's interface; making it convenient, user-friendly and far from complications.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Al-Shaker, CEO, ArabiaWeather Inc. said, “The launch of 'ArabiaWeather' app reflects our continuing commitment to keep up with the latest technological developments and integrating it into our products and solutions. This is our way of understanding the passion for technology that today's users demonstrate and addressing their demands and requirements.”

The company CEO shared that ArabiaWeather Inc. has acquired more than 10 million users for its different platforms in 2014 alone. Additionally, the company is proud of its record growth in all platforms and particularly in smartphones' apps, which has exceeded the growth rates of the users of other global apps from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Arab countries.

In addition to individual-oriented services and products, ArabiaWeather Inc. continues to focus on its corporate services and business solutions by providing essential weather-based data and solutions to various business sectors, including oil and gas, aviation, agriculture, energy, shipping, transportation, construction and media outlets like television, radio, newspapers and magazines. The company particularly supports airlines and regional airports by providing accurate and valuable information about the weather conditions for the aviation sector to avoid direct physical losses and to assist in better planning and management via its “ArabiaWeather Early Notification System”.
