Dubai, UAE – November 2014: JA Resorts & Hotels will be paying tribute to the UAE's 43rd National Day with its Emirati Cultural Village fair taking place for the second consecutive year at the JA Ocean View Hotel, from 13th November to 3rd December*.
In a joint collaboration with Beit Al KhairSociety, visitors will get a taste of traditional Emirati life with a series of exhibitions and events including the Arabic food display which will include common dishes and sweets from the UAE as well as a photography presentation highlighting the vast changes in Dubai since the 1970s. Guests and visitors will also be able to catch performances of traditional Emirati dances by local school children as well as a photo opportunity wearing traditional Emirati attire, like the Kandoora and Abaya.
The opening ceremony, which will take place on 13 November at 3pm in the JA Ocean View Hotel outdoor atrium, will be attended by JA Resorts & Hotels senior management to include CEO David Thomson, Regional General Manager of the UAE and the Seychelles Fredrik Reinisch, and JA Ocean View Hotel General Manager Otto Kurzendorfer. The ribbon cutting ceremony will also be attended by representatives from Beit Al Khair Society and a number of distinguished guests.
The Emirati CulturalVillage will present guests and visitors with the opportunity to experience an Arabian-inspired setting located within the hotel's outdoor atrium where they will be served Arabic coffee, dates and traditional sweets, and have the chance to browse the mini souk displaying handicrafts and artworks as well as try out the popular henna design artist.
*The Emirati Village will be closed on 17 & 24 November.
