Dubai, United Arab Emirates, November 4, 2014: 5th Fragrance “Oscars” known as ‘Fragrance Awards 2014' will be hosted in Dubai, on 3rd December, 2014. The Fragrance Foundation Arabia, established in 2008, a first of its kind in the region, celebrates half a decade of its establishment in the Middle East, this year. The prestigious awards for the exclusive and elite fragrances aim at honoring the creative achievements of regional and international fragrance houses, which see an impressive build up of brands competing for the most reputed coveted trophy of The Fragrance awards internationally.
The Fragrance Foundation, a global entity was founded in 1949 and from then is passionately devoted to increasing the awareness and appreciation of fragrance in all its forms. The Fragrance Awards celebrate the global fragrance industry and its outstanding creative achievements in the world of perfumery.
The Arabian Gulf is the world's largest consumer per capita of perfumes in its many different genres.
Every year, the Fragrance Foundation Arabia acknowledges and honours the best perfumes of the Middle East in the Fragrance Awards. This year's award show will be the fifth edition of the event held in the Middle East.

Highly prestigious fragrance brands compete with each other to get verdict from the most distinguished jury as well as fragrance connoisseurs through online voting. Year-on-year we have enjoyed active participation of the public who come together to vote and honour the most popular and celebrated fragrances The objective is to develop educational programs about the importance and pleasures of fragrance for the masses. There are 15 awards to be won in the Arabian and International male and female categories this year. The award is an artistic piece that simulates 5th year of Fragrance Awards.
The Fragrance Awards, 2013, saw a strong participation across Middle Eastern elite fragrance brands where more than 150 top fragrance brands participated and were awarded. Some of the awards included Elie Saab's Le Parfum as the Best Female International Fragrance, Noble Leather by YSL as the Best Male Arabian Fragrance, and Be Shay Anfasic Dokhoon by Mohammed Hilal Group as the Best Arabian Popular Appeal fragrance.
The Fragrance Awards is an annual event that was first held in the U.S. in 1973, organised by The Fragrance Foundation,that was instituted to honor the fragrance industry's creative achievements, and is the most prominent and prestigious celebratory event of the fragrance industry. With its own ‘hall of fame,' this prestigious, iconic event showcases the very best the fragrance world has to offer. Every year, New York City is host to the entire international fragrance community with awards presented by celebrities from the world of fashion, film and television.
