November 8, 2014: The 6th International Perishables Expo Middle East (WOP), the GCC's only dedicated exhibition for fresh edible food, and the 9th International Plants Expo (IPM) Middle East, the region's only dedicated horticultural trade show, are set to kick off tomorrow on November 9, 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Center. The two simultaneous high-level events will run until November 11, 2014 and will host over a hundred exhibitors from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Organized by planetfair LLC, both exhibitions will provide a platform for professionals, decision makers and industry leaders to exchange best practices, learn from and network with each other, and create business. Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of Dubai Municipality, WOP 2014 will attract leading local and regional companies looking to expand in the region. IPM Middle East 2014, on the other hand, will be held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports, and with the support of the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water and is expected to draw in more than 3,000 guests.
H.E Eng. Saif Al-Shara', Undersecretary of Agricultural Affairs and Animal Sector, Ministry of Environment and Water, said that the participation of the ministry in this exhibition comes in the framework of strengthening efforts in achieving the strategic objectives of the prevention of agricultural pests and infectious animal diseases and achieve the goals of sustainable development through exchange of information between other countries.
