FundandthegovernmentofGhanabyencouraginggreatercollaboration in rhedevelopmentofinfrastructureprojects in the African nation.
His ExcellencyMohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, DirectorGeneral of ADFD,welcomedtheGhanaian Minister andtheaccompanyingdelegation, comprisingrepresentativesfromMinistryofRoadsand HighwaysaswellasofficialsfromtheConsulateGeneral of Ghanain Dubai. The meeting was also attendedbyrepresentativefromtheUAE'sMinistryofForeignAffairs.
Duringthemeeting,bothsidesdiscussedvariousaspectsofjointcooperationandpartnershipbetween ADFD andthegovernmentofGhanaacrossmultiple sectors.
Al Suwaidibriefedthedelegationon ADFD'songoingengagement in Ghana,pointing outthatthe Fundiskeentocollaborate on projectsthathelpaccelerateGhana'seconomicdevelopment on a prioritybasis. He addedthat such projectsshouldmeetthestrategicobjectivesof ADFD.
The Ghanaiandelegationofferedan overviewoftheworkinvolved in theroadsandhighwaysprojectsplannedbythegovernmentofGhanain collaborationwith ADFD. The delegates alsosharedfeasibilitystudiesontheprojectsforfurtheraction.
As an immediate outcomeofthemeeting, ADFD will reviewthefeasibilitystudiesandcommunicatesetprioritiestotheGhanaianGovernment.ADFD will also considerdeputing a factfindingcommitteetoGhana for a followupassessmentoftheprojectifrequired.
ADFD, aspartofitsnewdirection in developmentaid,seekstoopen upnewareasofcooperationbetweenthe FundandtheRepublicof Ghanain variousareasofinvestments in a bidtocontributetotheeconomicandsocialdevelopmentsof Ghana.
