29 September 2014 - EFS Facilities Services (EFS), a leading Integrated Facilities Management (FM) service, operation and maintenance solution provider across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA) region, successfully organized a blood donation drive at the company's headquarters in DIP. The initiative, which reflects the company's core CSR commitment towards giving back to the community and maintaining its wellbeing, was held in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). A total of 74 company's employees participated in the event.

According to EFS senior officials, the blood donation campaign was organized to help provide assistance to patients suffering from thalassemia, cancer and maternity health complications, patients scheduled for open-heart surgeries, and victim of road and burn accidents, among others. The activity is only one of the many CSR initiatives and programs that the company continuously implements all year round and ably demonstrates EFS role in promoting responsive civic and social duties, which in turn, leaves a positive impact on the larger community and the environment. In addition, the company's CSR activities complement its vision of playing a dynamic role in the society wherein it operates and ensures a healthier life for its members.

“We would like to thank everyone who participated in this successful activity and also to the DHA for helping us organize the event. We strongly encourage people to donate blood or lend their support for charitable activities in the UAE as these gestures of kindness add a difference to those who are needy,” said Tariq Chauhan, Group CEO, EFS Facilities Services. “The activity was able to raise 58 units of blood that will be used by the Blood Donation Centre. CSR activities like these reaffirm our commitment towards providing continuous support not only to the local Dubai community but to the whole UAE as well.”
