Dr. Brown's introduces their unique Natural Flow® bottles to reduce colic, spit up, burping & gas in infants
Dubai, September 29, 2014: Dr. Brown's, one of the leading international baby feeding brand in the USA, and a preferred brand of Pediatricians, has introduced a new range of unique feeding bottles that reduce colic with its advanced venting technology in the UAE and in the GCC.
Colic is clinically defined as excessive crying in an otherwise healthy baby. Along with inconsolable crying, particularly in the early evening, other colic symptoms include the infant extending or pulling up her legs, and wind. Some infants' stomachs may even appear enlarged or distended with wind. Colic affects 10 to 20 % of infants during the first three to four months of life. There is no known cure for Colic, and it can be quite distressing for parents or caregivers feeling helpless as they see their child cry. In order to prevent parents from going through this phase, Dr. Brown's provides baby feeding bottles that are specialized to help reduce colic and other feeding issues such as spit-up, burping and gas for babies.
According to the Colic Report presented by Dr. Brown's, 78 per cent of health professionals agree that the most common cause of colic in young babies is digestive or feeding problems, including swallowing air. 28 per cent of babies developed colic while being fully breast fed, which is more than 15 per cent of those who were using Dr. Brown's Natural Flow bottles. 53 per cent of those using Dr. Brown's Natural Flow saw an improvement in three feeds or less in their baby.

FIRST EVER FEEDING BOTTLE TO USE INTERNAL VENT SYSTEM
The Internal Vent System eliminates the negative pressure and excess air ingestion. The air enters the bottle collar and routes directly through the internal vent system.
Since the Baby does not ingest air, colic symptoms such as spit-up, burping and wind are reduced. The air channels through the vent tube, by passing the milk to the end of the bottle. The vent also prevents the aeration of milk, vacuum pressure and nipple collapse.
The standard Dr. Brown's baby bottles have a traditional narrow shape which makes it easy to hold. The standard bottles are available in different sizes from 2oz/60ml to 8oz/240ml and ensure a natural flow for the newborn. The wide neck baby bottles feature an ergonomic design that is easy to fill and hold.
