A series of Health First Pharmacy branch openings to feature in-store events

will change the way retail pharmaceutical companies are perceived 

Dubai UAE, September 22, 2014:  Revolutionizing the way we use and view pharmacies, Health First Pharmacy is redefining the ways customers interact with pharmacies. By catering to the very trendy public demands of customisation and accessibility, the pharmacy has designed a calendar of in-store events with various activities for both children and adults.   

Ms. Surkari, Group Marketing Manager for Planet Pharmacies, says, “The exciting line-up of events kicks off at our Sharjah branch this Wednesday, 24th of September.  Our customers can expect health, beauty and nutrition talks; fitness sessions – from Zumba, Yoga to spinning; pampering sessions such as mani, pedi and mini-massages; and expert consultations with physical trainers, nutritionists and doctors.   And of course, we have arts and crafts, games for kids – our younger audience.  All of this will take place in the store, and be open to the general public.”  The new branch in Sharjah is located on Al Ta'awun Street, within close proximity toSharjah Expo Centre as well as the Al Ta'awun Shopping Mall.

In line with its expansion strategy, Planet Pharmacies' retail pharmacy brand, Health First Pharmacy, will officially inaugurate at least five (5) branches each month from September until the early part of 2015 across the UAE.  The pharmaceutical giant that brings high quality pharmaceutical brands and pharmacy outlets to the UAE, says it has plans to open new stores across the UAE, Oman and KSA.  The chain says it is committed to creating pharmacies that are true community health and social centres by taking the in-store experience to a whole new level. 

“Our goal is not only to provide access to top brands, variety and convenience at the point of sale, but also to be a part of our customers' daily lives.  We want to ensure that we cater not only to their health and well-being needs, but that we can also significantly contribute to their social needs.  Often, a trip to the pharmacy is a boring task, and this is one of the reasons why we want to create a better, more engaging and enjoyable overall experience for our customers in our stores – every time”, Surkari adds.  


Health First Pharmacy's latest initiative is supported by strong brands in UAE, and the larger Gulf region.   Participating at the launch event in Sharjah include Organic Food Trading, Pranavayu Yoga, Mathnasium, Kidzz Café, Body & Soul Health Club, Altitude Spa by Sharjah Golf & Country Club, Aura Slimming Centre and Piccadilly Whippy, the van serving the famous London Softy with a Flake stick!


Coinciding with the launch of their in-store events, Health First Pharmacy is also launching their first ever loyalty programme in October.  Billed as #MYPHARMACY, the programme is designed to reward their customers, and at the same time provide more opportunities to save and win.  “We will be announcing more on the loyalty programme in the coming weeks.  You can also expect more announcements on our in-store events and the many locations where you can participate”, Surkari closes.
