CRYO Health takes Dubai's health & beauty scene by storm

After the success of the first outlet in Jumeirah Emirates Towers Boulevard, CRYO Health is set to open another ‘ice spa' in Dubai.

Dubai, August 17, 2014: Since its opening in June last year, CRYO Health has quickly become a big hit amongst Dubai's fitness, health and beauty enthusiasts. A celebrity favorite abroad, it is the first treatment facility of its kind to be introduced to the GCC and has quickly picked up a dedicated following of the who's who in Dubai.

Cryotherapy involves a painless freezing of the skin's surface through exposure to extremely low temperatures (-120 to -140 degrees Celsius using gasiform Nitrogen) for a maximum of 3 minutes.  The cooling of the body through a dry method rather than using ice water ensures that the body goes back to its normal temperature within seconds, ensuring no post treatment chills.  The treatment's temporary cooling action encourages the immediate release of increased levels of endorphins and adrenaline as it improves blood flow circulation and accelerates the delivery of oxygen through the body. This speeds up the removal of toxins while toning muscles at the same time. The surge of metabolism consumes 400 - 800 calories, aiding in weight loss, cellulite reduction, tighter and healthier skin, as well as increased collagen production.

Not only is cryotherapy an interesting option when it comes to weight loss or skin appearance, but it has also been a staple for professional athletes and celebrities, such as Demi Moore, Jessica Alba, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kobe Bryant. The three-minute freeze session in the cryotherapy chamber replaces the traditional ice bath, as it is more effective to help athletes recover from strenuous workouts more rapidly.

Benny Parihar, a partner at CRYO Health, is thrilled with the success of the concept in the region so far. “We are very happy to see that the number of our CRYO Health clients has increased steadily and significantly over the past year. That's why we are currently expanding and will soon open another outlet in Dubai Ladies Club. Clients that use our chambers come from all walks of life; professional athletes, fitness enthusiasts, women who want to get rid of cellulite, as well as people who suffer from medical conditions such as arthritis”, he said.

The CRYO Health team that introduced the concept to the GCC also acts as the exclusive distributor of the machinery that can be found in the clinic. “There is a high interest in our machines and technology; we have serviced many requests from private clients and palaces wanting to place the machine in their homes”, Benny Parihar said.
