•    Service Stations Equipped with Modern Fit outs to Reopen by End-2014 
•    Customers Advised to Use Nearby Service Stations during Interim Period

Abu Dhabi-UAE: 05 August, 2014 – ADNOC Distribution has announced the closure of Al Samha 1, Zafaranah and Al Mushrif service stations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi beginning 3 August, 2014 for a period of four months. 

Part of the company's ongoing efforts to modernise its service station network, the closure will facilitate the deployment of general maintenance works as well as upgrade of equipment and machinery.

ADNOC Oasis convenient stores at Al Samha 1 and in Al Mushrif service stations will continue to remain operational during the maintenance period, while the ADNOC Oasis store in Zafaranah will be closed. 

ADNOC Distribution has also announced the use of alternative service stations to ensure customers are not inconvenienced by the closure. People heading from Zayed Sports City towards Corniche and using Al Mushrif Service Station are advised to use Al Manassir station, while those travelling from the Corniche towards Al Mussafah may use the Khaleej Al Arabi Service station located directly opposite Al Mushrif Station or the Al Bateen Old Market station. 

Additionally, people driving out of Abu Dhabi city and using Zafranah Station are advised to use Al Ittihad Station and Air Wing service station on Muroor Street, while those driving towards Abu Dhabi via Muroor road may use the Police College station and Al Dana station. 

Al Samha 1 petrol station, which mainly serves Abu Dhabi - Dubai highway, has been provided with six alternative stations. Those travelling from Abu Dhabi to Dubai are advised to use Al Shahama station located before Al Samha 1 station, KIZAD station located after Al Samha 1 and the Sieh Shuaib station. Motorists travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi can use Ghantoot station, Al Jaraf Station and Al Samha 2 station located opposite Al Samha 1.

Khalid Hadi, Vice President, Marketing and Corporate Communications at ADNOC Distribution, said: “ADNOC Distribution is keen to fit its service stations with latest equipment and advanced technologies to meet the growing demand for our products and services as well as to upgrade our facilities to the highest international standards. The closure of these three stations is part of our regular maintenance plan which covers our entire service station network. The overhauling will increase our capacity and readiness to cope with the changing customer needs, whether for fuel or other services and products.'
