Dubai, United Arab Emirates, July 1, 2014: Dubai Health Authority in cooperation with Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities (DICD) has launched a patient-engagement initiative for the Holy month of Ramadan.

As part of the initiative, Islamic scholars will visit  DHA hospitals every Thursday and meet with several patients. They will read out verses of the Holy  Quran and hold lectures for patients and their family members. The lectures will be followed by a question and  answer session.

The scholars visited Dubai Hospital last Thursday and the delegation was received by Sheikha Al Rahoomi, director of customer relations department at the DHA.

Al Rahoomi said: “ This initiative will take place all through the Holy month of Ramadan and we will conduct these  weekly visits at other DHA hospitals as well. The aim of this program is to help boost the morale of patients suffering from various ailments at the hospital, especially during the Holy month of Ramadan.”
