Celebrations marking the 15th anniversary of Modhesh World were given a boost at the weekend by the visit of a large number of UAE-based media personnel and their families, who reveled in the exciting attractions of one of the region's most popular indoor family edutainment destinations.
The family's day out for the media on Saturday, 21 June kicked off with entertainment from acrobats and children's characters. An amazing Acrobatic Show, featuring skilled artists showcasing their dexterity and dare-devilry enthralled the media and families, who later joined a long parade led by the children's beloved character Modhesh. The parade, featuring a variety of characters and roaming artists including acrobats, clowns and stilt walkers, ended with a balloon and confetti drop.
Modhesh made the occasion even more special by inviting kids on stage for a Meet-and-Greet Session with him and his friends such as Hello Kitty, the world's most celebrated cat, and fun characters, Noor and Hayat, from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), which is sponsoring the Little Stars Interactive Zone at Modhesh World. At the end of this session, children received goody bags, courtesy of Modhesh, as a token of appreciation for visiting Modhesh World. Food for this event was specially prepared by popular restaurant, Crumbs Elysée.
Journalists from the print and broadcast media and their families were invited to visit Modhesh World by the Media Centre of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), and organisers of Modhesh World.
The journalists, photographers and their families used the occasion to savour a wide range of attractions and activities that are taking place daily at Modhesh World including the Lego Zone, Sand Park, Target Shooting and Snow Slope.
Modhesh World is open daily until 8 September for children of all ages with the activities being held across six Halls of the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Modhesh World will enter its third stage during the Eid in Dubai – Eid Al Fitr festivities by hosting the World Premieres of interactive experiences featuring the Angry Birds Universe and the Transformers, which are among the key attractions at Modhesh World this year.
In addition to Modhesh World, the other key summer festivals and special occasions organised by DFRE are Ramadan in Dubai from 29 June to 27 July, showcasing Islamic culture, Emirati traditions and hospitality; Eid in Dubai from 28 July to 1 August, a grand celebration of the Eid Al Fitr festival that will involve people from all communities, and the iconic family summer extravaganza, Dubai Summer Surprises from 2 August to 5 September.
