Nando's launches its ‘Packed with love' campaign, which allows customers to get involved too!
Dubai, 19th June 2014: Nando's, the world's much-loved Afro-Portuguese, family friendly restaurant has launched an extensive Ramadan campaign which not only supports its staff and surrounding communities, but allows dining customers to do their bit for charity during the Holy month too!
Nando's has chosen to support the well-known charity, ‘Adopt-a-Camp,' during the Ramadan month, where they will be heavily involved in sponsoring, preparing and handing out thousands of care packages, which will be packed with a three month supply of toiletries, food and clothing, to labourers throughout the UAE. This has become a highlight in the Nando's annual calendar with Nando's Marketing Manager, Michelle Taylor saying, ‘The month of Ramadan really is such a beautiful example of the UAE's diverse community coming together for a common good.'
Nando's customers are invited to join in the season of goodwill, with its brand new ‘Packed with Love' campaign, which provides special envelopes on each table in each of its outlets throughout the UAE, where customers can leave a monetary donation, and this money will be accumulated and presented to the Adopt-a-Camp organisation in a cheque handover ceremony at the end of Ramadan. As the ‘Packed with Love' campaign envelopes are sealed at the table by the donor, they could be donating anything from AED 5 to AED 5,000, which means that every member of the UAE community can do their charitable part, no matter how big or small!
Nando's staff members will also be supporting the campaign by donating their spare time to packing the boxes and handing them out at a special Iftar organised by Adopt-a-Camp for the labourers.
Nando's has also decided that charity starts at home, and while looking after its community, it has also started an internal campaign, that celebrates its own employees. The company will select three outstanding employees, from a pool who have been nominated by their colleagues, and pay for their children's schooling, whether in Dubai or in their home
Countries, for three years. Winners will be announced in an intimate, yet special event for employees.
