- Fakhruddin Holdings joins hands with Max Electronics LLC (Landmark Group) to bring NASA developed air purification technology - Airocide from Akida Holdings USA to the GCC
- Airocide cleans almost 100% of indoor air of pathogens, allergy triggers and harmful gases from household products
- Airocide will be available at leading electronic and lifestyle stores across the region starting July 2014.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 17th June, 2014: AKIDA Holdings USA, a global specialist in clean air technology, through their partner Fakhruddin Holdings has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Max Electronics LLC, a part of Landmark Group to distribute the former's flagship Airocide, technology developed by NASA and FDA approved filter-less air purification system to the GCC. Airocide was launched in the US in 2013 to great success and UAE is the first international market where it will be introduced outside USA, it's country of origin.
Airocide, currently a need of the hour, is capable of eliminating virtually 100 percent of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) - harmful gasses emitted by products around the home including aerosol sprays, cleaning supplies, disinfectants, hobby supplies, building materials, paints and thinners, strippers and pesticides. It also almost eliminates all mold, fungi, viruses and bacteria that cause allergy symptoms and respiratory sickness.
This new revolutionary air purification technology developed by NASA is being brought to the consumer in form of Airocide. Airocide draws in harmful airborne pathogens and forces them into a densely packed matrix of highly reactive catalysts that are activated by a high intensity 254-nanometer light. The reaction destroys these harmful pathogens on contact. Nothing is captured so there is nothing to clean. All that exits is crisp, clear air, with zero ozone emissions.
Commenting on the effectiveness of Airocide, Mr. Ali Asgar Fakhruddin of Fakhruddin Holdings said, “We are extremely pleased to launch the breakthrough innovation, Airocide in the GCC, as we are positive that it will make a significant difference to the quality of life in the region. After years of rigorous scientific research on air quality inside space stations, NASA developed the technology that is now used in International Space Stations, a filter-less air purification system that's been proven to effectively remove the worst indoor air pollutants. We believe that our partnership with Max Electronics an integral part of the Landmark Group will definitely help eradicate air pollution in every indoor arena, thus enabling a pollutant free environment and improving air quality.”
Neelesh Bhatnagar, CEO of Max Electronics, part of Landmark Group and the distributor of Airocide in the GCC said, “At Max Electronics, we are consistently looking for partners with a similar vision as that of ours. Airocide is not only an air purifier but also a life saver as it is helping more and more people around the world. Max Electronics believes that devices supporting clean air technology and good health are the requirement of the region. We are working towards getting the best technology for well being in the region.”
Airocide technology was built for NASA, used in earth orbit and clinically tested by the University of Wisconsin, Texas Tech University and Texas A&M University. Airocide generates no ozone, it never needs cleaning and it uses no filters. Airocide provides relief for people suffering from asthma and various allergies.
Studies of human exposure to air pollutants by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency indicate that indoor levels of pollutants may be two to five times – and occasionally more than 100 times – higher than outdoor pollutant levels. Indoor air pollutants have been ranked among the top five environmental risks to public health.
Airocide will be distributed by Max Electronics and will be available at leading electronic and lifestyle stores across the region starting July 2014.
