Modhesh charms children during visit to schools, hospitals and malls across UAE

Dubai 16 June 2014 - Modhesh, the region's popular mascot, has been visiting schools, hospitals and malls in the UAE to spread the messages of fun, joy, caring and sharing, as well as inviting children and families to experience the exciting line-up of summer attractions in Dubai, especially the 15th anniversary celebrations of Modhesh World, one of the region's biggest indoor edutainment destinations for families.

With his trademark heart-warming smile, Modhesh charmed the school kids, providing  them a fitting way to end their school term and usher in the long summer holidays. During a meet-and-greet tour of government and private schools, Modhesh was at his bubbly best, shaking hands with children and also entertaining them with stage shows and showering them with gifts. At hospitals, Modhesh was an embodiment of the spirit of sharing and caring for children who are unwell, as he wished them good health and brought big smiles on their faces. 

Modhesh also spread the summer cheer among shoppers during surprise visits to malls in Dubai and other emirates, stopping from time to time to pose for photographs with children and their families. 

During the visits to schools, hospitals, and malls Modhesh extended personal invitations to children, offering them free entry to Modhesh World, which is part of the summer festivals and attractions organized by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing.  DFRE's summer calendar also features Ramadan in Dubai, Eid in Dubai and the family extravaganza, Dubai Summer Surprises.

As part of the celebrations marking the 15th edition of Modhesh World, DFRE is offering  a line-up of endless family fun featuring internationally renowned entertainment characters and a wide array of interactive and themed experiences designed to give families and children their most memorable summer holidays in Dubai.  Modhesh World, which opened on 12 June at the Dubai World Trade Centre, will run until 8 September this year. 

As a home-grown cartoon character that is hugely popular among children of all nationalities, Modhesh is also highly appreciated by parents due to his amazing ability to connect with children, thus embedding in them the universal values of love, respect and hospitality. Modhesh also promotes edutainment as a useful way of teaching children in a fun ambience.
