RE/MAX Egypt (www.remax.com.eg), an affiliate of the world's leading real estate brokerage company announced today its sponsored rider Khaled Abdel Mawgoud “Capo” has completed the 2014 Pharaoh's Rally with tremendous results. This marks the second year RE/MAX Egypt has sponsored the talented rider and is in-line with its overall philosophy of supporting local Egyptian talent.

This year's Pharaohs Rally kicked off from the Red Sea resort town of El Gouna across 5 legs and a variety of terrains. The initial leg, El Gouna to Luxor saw participants cross mountain ranges on a route linking Upper Egypt with the Red Sea. From Luxor, the rally took competitors west to Dakhla. The third and fourth legs, Dakhla to Baharaya were routes through the Western Desert and around Baharaya, crossing mountain passes, sea sand and dunes. From there, the week-long rally concluded in Cairo at its traditional finish at the Giza Pyramids.
The 3,000 kilometers Pharaohs Rally is considered one of the most grueling and important rallies internationally, where stamina and fitness are needed. This year's event saw 39 bikers from around the world participate in all categories. Khaled “Capo” raced in the 450 cc professionals category on a Yamaha WR450F motorcycle, fully equipped for professional rally racing. He successfully completed all but one stage of the event, due to technical problems, and within his category finished 7th for the super special stage, 8th in the first stage, 17th in the second stage, 4th in the fourth stage and 2nd in the final.
