Dubai Food Carnival, a family-friendly food and beverage extravaganza and the opening salvo of this year's inaugural Dubai Food Festival, has been named ‘Best Exhibition' at the 7th Middle East Event Awards.
“Winning such a prestigious accolade recognises Dubai Food Carnival as an excellent addition to Dubai's major events calendar,” said Trixie LohMirmad, Senior Vice President, Events & Exhibitions Department, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), the event organiser. “With a new venue, more exhibitors and a more diverse entertainment programme already lined up for next year, we have also added an extra day to cater for popular demand.”
Tens of thousands of visitors flocked to February's debut event, which featured international celebrity chefs conducting educational culinary masterclasses and workshops, enticing food stalls, mouth-watering food tastings, a multi-cultural feast of music and a blockbuster 360° stage hosting a variety of acts including world champion Sumo wrestlers and family-themed competitions.
“The Dubai Food Carnival was an innovative platform for both brands and consumers to celebrate all things food,” added Said Marzouk, Operations Manager, Middle East, Hakkasan Dubai. “The event has established instant credentials as the emirate's newest mega family event.”
