Emirates Post Group participates in World Thalassemia Day

Dubai, May 15, 2014: Emirates Post Group celebrated World Thalassemia Day in association with the Dubai Thalassemia Center, in the presence of Dr. Khawla Belhoul, Director of the Dubai Thalassemia Centre and Mr. Yousef Al Khaja , Senior Manager of Customer Support in Emirates Post Group and volunteers from the group who organized an entertainment program for Thalassemia patients, which included a storyteller as well as the distribution of gifts of educational entertainment for all child patients.

The ceremony began with a speech by Dr. Khawla, followed by a short film to show the experience of the first camp of Thalassemia patients by the Centre in Oman. The event concluded with honoring those who support Thalassemia Center and the held in organising the event.

Mr. Yousef Al Khaja, on behalf of Emirates Post Group, presented a souvenir to Dr. Khawla Belhoul in recognition of the center service to society.

Mr. Fahad Al Hosani, acting President of Emirates Post Group Emirates Post, hailed the ongoing initiatives and community events that promote the links between members of the community, in addition to enabling the employees of the Group to join the movement of volunteerism. He expressed his appreciation of the center's role in supporting a worthy cause and thanked it for providing the Group an opportunity to participate in a noble activity.
