~~Recently the Training and Development Division of First Security Group LLC., a leading provider of Health & Safety and Security courses across UAE, conducted a workshop on RISK ASSESSMENT. Over 40 senior managers and staff from leading hotels and security companies were invited to participate from across the UAE, some even having hailed from as far as the Sila border to attend.

The risk assessment course is one of the first of its kind launched in Dubai by Highfield Awarding Body of Compliance from the UK. The FSG training centre is approved and accredited by Highfield and First Aid International - both awarding bodies from the UK - to provide a wide range of Security, First Aid, Pool Safety and other Health & Safety related courses.

The workshop was delivered by suitably qualified, experienced and licensed trainers, who have been authorised by respected local authorities such as the Department of Protective Systems of Dubai Police; Dubai Corporation of Ambulance Services and Dubai Municipality to conduct many such courses.

To quote one of the active attendees of the workshop, “The course was useful, fun and informative. It leaves you more knowledgeable about employee, employer and management responsibilities when it comes to health and safety requirements in the workplace.”

Some of the organisations represented at the workshop included DU Telecommunications, Standard Chartered Bank, the Marriott Group, the Rotana Group, Emrill Services and Emaar Malls among many others.

“The security industry is gathering momentum in Dubai, especially with the Expo2020 around the corner, where the economic, entertainment and cultural activity in Dubai is going to shoot sky high. All of this has to happen within a safe, secure environment. It is fantastic to be able to meet other managers and professionals in the field to collaborate to create this environment. It is going to be a time for the security industry in Dubai like never before,” says Liz Jajal, Operations Manager, of the FSG Training Division.
