Emirates Post Group welcomed a delegation of the Unified GCC Procurement Committee, led by Chairman of the Committee, and Assistant General Manager for Procurement and Tenders in Saudi Post, Mr. Saleh Dha'iyan, and accompanied by members of the committee, as part of visits to GCC postal corporations.
The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Sultan Al Midfa, CEO of Empost and Network Operations in Emirates Post, Mr. Mohammed Bin Touq, Acting Director of Procurement and Administration Department, Mr. Abdullah Kalander, Director of Exchange Centre, Miss Hanan Abdullah, procurer, and a number of EPG officials.
The two sides discussed scope for cooperation and exchange of expertise between GCC postal corporations.
Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Sultan Al Midfa lauded the work done by the committee in creating a unified procurement structure for all GCC postal corporations, with the aim of finding best postal products at competitive prices and exploring ways to reduce mailbag sizes as well as bag tags for the GCC region.
On his part, Mr. Saleh Dha'iyan lauded the participation and cooperation of Emirates Post Group in the Committee that seeks to ensuing best quotations through public tenders to acquire postal equipment.
Mr. Al Midfa and the delegation later toured the Sorting Center to view the postal operations process at Ramool building, including sorting of local and international mail and parcels.
