Oman's newest ITC appoints construction experts for infrastructure works
Muscat, 25 February 2014: Saraya Bandar Jissah, Oman's newest ITC taking shape to the east of Muscat, has appointed Carillion Alawi, the leading quality contractor, to deliver the development's infrastructure construction.
The tender, worth close to Ten Millions Omani Rials, was awarded to Carillion Alawi after a thorough tender evaluation process which saw 12 companies with strong local presence in Oman submit bids for the work.
The tender package consists of the installation of all utilities required at the development, creating the fundamental network provisions for the leisure and residential components at Saraya Bandar Jissah. These include the complete networks for electrical power, water supply, irrigation, storm water drainage, sewage and communications. In its deliverables, the contractor will also undertake road finishing work and street lighting.
The infrastructure works will also include the construction of the main entrance to the Saraya Bandar Jissah development.
The infrastructure services were designed by Halcrow Middle East, the lead infrastructure consultant for the development, to meet the highest local and international standards. The infrastructure construction supervisors, Atkins, will oversee the construction phase of the infrastructure package.

The infrastructure construction works are part of the second major construction phase of Saraya Bandar Jissah, and are scheduled to commence onsite next month.
