A special moment dedicated to encounters, the 24th edition of the Sihh provided an opportunity for Baume & Mercier to present the new Clifton Creations

The Baume & Mercier booth at this 24th edition of the SIHH offered a delightfully cosy environment. Guests in this home-like setting enjoyed a warm welcome and a chance to immerse themselves in the world of the collections, as well as to appreciate the elegance of Baume & Mercier signature areas stretching from the Men's to the Ladies' lounges and all imbued with a pervasive sense of luxury and tradition. While the black and white pictures of celebrations and the watches displayed in the showcases caught visitors' attention, all eyes were also drawn to the historical Baume & Mercier wall featuring outstanding pieces from its richly endowed museum. These included the 1892 tourbillon pocket watch, the medals and patents earned over the 184 years since the founding of the Maison, stellar models from the Hampton, Classima, Linea and Capeland collections, as well as the piece that inspired the Clifton collection.

THE NEW CLIFTON RELEASES

Clearly governed by the principles of affordable luxury driving the Swiss watchmaking House, the Clifton collection launched in 2013 welcomed some remarkable new models. Alongside the Clifton 1892 Flying Tourbillon, a Fine Watchmaking piece demonstrating the watchmaking expertise of Baume & Mercier, the 2014 creations delighted horological aesthetes. The new releases unveiled included three chronograph equipped with new complications; a Clifton Retrograde Date Automatic with a graphically original design; several appealing two-tone models combining steel and 18K red gold; as well as a series of Clifton models in a 30 mm diameter.

SUMMER WITH LINEA

Signaling what has become an eagerly awaited annual renewal, the spring/summer 2014 Linea collection welcomes a set of resolutely on-trend straps. Luminous, silky smooth and delightfully comfortable, the three new double wrap-around references in calfskin and powdered satin appeared in a delightful range of colors evocatively named Vibrant Orange, Pearly White and Red Poppy. These vivid and daring hues naturally won plenty of admirers in a double whirl of magic and sensuality.
