United Arab Emirates, Dubai; 9 February 2014 – The latest addition to The Boulevard, Downtown's buzzing dining scene is a homegrown concept, House of Curry. The ultra-chic and contemporary Downtown Indian restaurant is the first of two outlets to open in Dubai within a month. With a capacity of 150 people, House of Curry offers a mix of the most popular Indian dishes in an ambience with a modern flair.
The menu on offer at House of Curry is based on some ancient recipes of the Maharajas; authentic flavors that are created with a blend of the highest quality of herbs and spices. Also included on the menu are some rare coastal dishes from the fishing villages of the South.
“We believe in authenticity, so we have a selection of unique curries that will awaken your taste buds and create that sense of delight and elation with each mouthful” says Head Chef Uday Nair.” One of House of Curry's signature dishes includes Tandoori Crab; fresh crab marinated in an exceptional blend of herbs & spices and cooked in the tandoor oven. Some of the other signature dishes include; Tandoori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Lamb Chops and Mutton Roghan Josh where each curry or dish has a distinct flavor and the perfect balance of spice which will not over-power the palette.
The House of Curry team has worked very hard to ensure that every item on the menu can be prepared at any level of spice that is requested by the customer. “We want to welcome people from all nationalities to come and dine with us, this is why our chefs are able to keep the flavor's authentic but adjust the spice level to our customers liking,” says Head Chef Uday Nair “Also we don't want all our curries to taste the same, and we definitely don't drown our curries in cream. ” The restaurant even has a small section on the menu for the calorie conscious, with options stating the number of calories for each dish.
The flagship restaurant of House of Curry will open its doors at The Beach, JBR Walk at the beginning of March with a capacity of 220 and with a beautiful ocean view.
