At Intersec 2014, Panasonic to Feature New Security Cameras and Facial Recognition Systems Which Provide Regional Businesses with

Cost-Effective Top Protection

Dubai, United Arab Emirates 14th January 2014 – Global technology leader Panasonic will showcase its wide range of first-class security products and solutions at the upcoming Intersec 2014 exhibition in Dubai.

In response to a growing demand for surveillance technology in the Middle East and Africa, Panasonic will demonstrate cost-effective security solutions for sectors including finance, retail, transportation, healthcare, corporate, industrial and home network products.

“Countries in the Middle East and Africa region face a wide range of serious security threats, and at Intersec 2014 we will showcase our expanded line of industry-leading and cost-effective security products and solutions, which ensure the top protection for our business customers, from small homes and offices to large enterprises,” said Mr. Yamasaki, General Manager, Systems Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa.

Reflecting the rising take-up of security technology across the region, the Middle East video surveillance equipment market is projected to reach USD 570.7 million by 2016, whereas the African market is estimated to reach USD 266.2 million by 2016. (Source IHS)

Among the many security solutions on display at Intersec 2014, Panasonic will feature the new 6-Series indoor and outdoor cameras, made to exacting Japanese standards; security cameras used for ATMs and sound solutions in the corrections industry;  open platform server based recorders; and   facial search and recognition systems that are ideal for law enforcement agencies.

“Panasonic's wide network camera line up of 1,3 and 5 series are among the best in the world. In addition, we are launching the 6 series, our flagship network camera, that is designed to meet the needs of this growing market,” said Mr. Hayashi Noriyuki, Senior Manager, Systems Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa.

6-Series cameras feature Multi-process Noise Reduction (MNR), Enhanced Super Dynamic Technology of 133 dB, and built-in IR LED light for crystal clear recording at any time of day or night; a high frame rate of 60 fps in HD resolution of 720p or 1080p for recording in high-traffic locations like airports or stadiums; and intelligent Video Motion Detection (i-VMD) technology that can pinpoint intruders or scene changes.

The Panasonic stand, No - 1105C will be located in Sheik Saeed Hall 1 of the Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

Intersec is the region's largest and most comprehensive trade and networking exhibition for the security and safety industries. The 2014 edition will be held from 19-21 January 2014 in Dubai, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
