Dubai, UAE; December 17, 2013: Falconcity of Wonders LLC (FCW), a privately owned enterprise that was founded to develop the real estate mega project Falconcity of Wonders, in cooperation with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), recently hosted a Blood Donation Drive for Falconcity community as part of the company's corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme which aims to promote the health and wellbeing of its residents while helping patients in need. Blood donation benefits both the receiver and the giver. According to recent studies, after donating blood, the number of red blood cells decrease in our body, which stimulates the bone marrow to replenish immediately the lost cells and refreshes our system. By regularly donating blood, the chance of heart attack among males is reduced to one third.
The Falconcity of Wonders employees and residents visited the DHA bus stationed behind the FCW City Hall, where they were requested to provide relevant medical information in a form provided by the DHA-Blood Donation Center. To assess a donor's eligibility for blood donation, blood pressure, hemoglobin levels and body temperature were measured by the DHA staff. The Blood Donation Drive was a huge success, thanks to the friends, employees and residents of Falconcity who came to support the event.
