Abu Dhabi, UAE: H.E. Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates participated in opening a two day conference between government and industry representatives of the Arab Republic of Egypt and other GCC countries.

The high level event which was attended by a senior delegation from the UAE, included a presentation from Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Acting CEO, ADPC on the subject of transport connectivity and port infrastructure.  His speech examined some of the challenges and used Abu Dhabi's experience as a case study to demonstrate effective solutions.

Held in Cairo, the Egypt/GCC Investment Forum on 4/5 December examined different investment policies and opportunities as a means of providing job opportunities, increasing development and stimulating economies. The second day looked at special economic zones as a means of supporting existing industries and developing new markets, and the transport networks and supply chain links necessary to develop such investment.
