El Sur Launches ‘Spanish Saturdays'

Mouthwatering contemporary Spanish cuisine, delicious cocktails and stunning views every Saturday from 12.30pm – 3.30pm

Dubai, UAE: 28 November 2013: El Sur, Dubai's first contemporary Spanish restaurant, is excited to announce the launch of a brand new weekend dining concept – Spanish Saturdays.

From 12.30pm to 3.30pm every Saturday, diners can now sit back and relax in its vibrant restaurant or go al fresco on the stunning El Sur terrace whilst enjoying a mouthwatering feast of classic Spanish favourites with contemporary twists, tasty cocktails and free-flowing Sangria – all to the backdrop of upbeat flamenco chill sounds and stunning views over the ocean.

Ideal for families, groups or more intimate dining occasions, the sharing style menu has been designed to create a fun and interactive experience. Showcasing some of the finest ingredients from around the world, it includes classic tapas dishes such as Ibéricos con pan con tomate (Iberian pork charcuterie selection), Calamares a la romana con ali oli (squid a la Raomana), Gambas al ajillo y guindilla (garlic and chilli prawns) and Estacion de Ostras Fine de Claire (Oyster station Fine de Claire), as well as a dedicated station for the signature El Sur Paella de marisco (seafood paella). Also on the menu is a selection of flavoursome mains including Pargo con limón y alcaparras (red snapper with lemon and capers), Jarrete de cordero asado con patatas pandera (roasted lamb shank with potatoes), and Tartelatas de setas con espuma de trufa (mushroom filled pasta with truffle foam). For those with a sweet tooth, dishes such as the Flan de chocolate blanco y salsa de mango (white chocolate mousse with mango coulis) and Tarta de chocolate con helado de cacahuete (dark chocolate cake with peanut butter ice cream) will delight.

The Spanish Saturdays menu is priced at only AED 295 per person including soft drinks or AED 425 including free-flowing Sangria, sparking, wines, beer and selected cocktails. Children under six are free, and for those between 6-12, it's only AED 145.

Handpicked from around the world, the venue showcases a range of materials from ethereal woods through to deep concrete walls. There is also a Living Wall – a botanical mix of different plants that vary in heights and textures to give a really unique and three-dimensional look – in the bar area, alongside stunning communal tables made out of four-meter oak logs.
