Abu Dhabi, UAE – November 1st, 2013: Thrilling thousands of fans with a series of stunning performances, three of the Arab world's most prominent musical superstars Amr Diab, Hussain Al Jassmi and Elissa opened the first of the Yasalam After-Race Concerts at du Arena, Yas Island with an Arab music showcase. Meanwhile at the Beats on the Beach Festival at the Corniche, Filipino music icon, Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano teamed up with Philippines' Ultimate Performer Vina Morales to headline the first ever Filipino night, playing to a crowd of over 30,000. Amr Diab, the biggest selling Arab recording artist of all time, topped the bill at du Arena with his classic hits including ‘Tamally Maak' and ‘Amarain'. Award-winning Emirati artist Hussain Al Jassmi had earlier performed in front of his home crowd with his crowd-pleasing songs such as ‘Mata Mata' and ‘Faqedik', while three times world music award winner Lebanese superstar Elissa impressed the capacity crowd with ‘As3Ad Wa7Da' and ‘Fi Ayounok'. FLASH Entertainment, organizers of Yasalam, the largest city-wide entertainment programme run by any race host city, have announced four nights of After-Race Concerts featuring the very best Arabic and international music from some of the biggest names in the industry, exclusively for race ticket holders. Tonight sees international superstar JAY Z take to the stage, while British groups Muse and Depeche Mode will headline the final two Yasalam After-Race Concerts on Saturday and Sunday evening. Beats on the Beach continues for two more nights on the Corniche, with rap legend Ludacris leading Friday's lineup which also includes Ciara, Arab Idol winner Mohammad Assaf and runner up Salma Rachid. The Yasalam festival started on September 4th and will come to an end on November 3rd, having provided entertainment at the Corniche, Across the City, and on Yas Island.
