The winning recipe Chinchori Fish Curry will be part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal's menu

Dubai, UAE (October 20, 2013): Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, located in the heart of the ancient cultural district of Dubai, announced today the successful conclusion of the 6th Grandma Recipe Contest at Mumtaz Mahal restaurant with Hannah Joji as a top winner followed by Naina Sakeb and Kavita K as runners-up.

The Judges for the contest were renowned food critics, writer and chef namely Manish Chandana, Rakesh Puri and Sameer Miglani, who selected the top three winners from the 10 chosen candidates out of 72 entries. This year's winning recipe is Chinchori Fish Curry (Konkan style) which will be part of award-winning Mumtaz Mahal restaurant menu, followed by Dhuan Dahi Chicken with Kharra Masala and Besini Bhaji with Satpura Roti.

We started this contest 6 years ago with an aim to reach out to all the aspiring chefs especially house wives and people who take pride in exhibiting their culinary skills to a larger audience. We are proud to say that every year the magnitude of the contest is growing and exceeding our expectations with record no. of entries for participation.”

The variety of contest dishes included Patrani Machchi, Fish Green Masala – Goan Style, Lazzat-E-Niwala, Shami Kebab with Kashmiri Curry and Chicken Dilbahar. The participants demonstrated exceptional culinary skills in the four hour cooking contest on the final day.

The 6th Grandma Recipe Competition was officially sponsored by 'Joyalukkas Jeweler', one of the leading wholesale brand and retail jewellery stores in Dubai and in operation since 1956 and dealing in 18, 21 and 22 carat gold jewellery as well as exclusive diamond jewellery. The others sponsors were Motiwala Jewelers, Silk Wonders and Satguru Travels.
