Dubai-UAE: 21 October 2013 – Female Entrepreneurs interested in, or currently running their own business, are welcome to join Mom Souq's Mompreneur Meet-Up next week, to improve their accounting and law related knowledge, directly benefitting them in the initial stages of setting up their businesses. This month's meet-up will have two expert speakers: Marie-Claire Accordino from The Accounts Department – an outsourced accounts function for SMEs in Dubai, headed by ICAEW Chartered Accountants; and Brendan Walsh, a lawyer from James Berry and Associates - one of the longest established Legal Practices in Dubai offering overall legal solutions across the Middle East. Mona Tavassoli, Founder, Mom Souq, said: “We understand the importance of knowing how to deal with accounts and various legal aspects in this part of the world, where many times it is difficult to have some basic questions answered. Knowing this we decided to tackle these two very important topics at our upcoming meet-up. By having two great experts talking at the event, we hope to educate and further help the members of the Mompreneur community in reaching their goals and having a better understanding of the business environment.” The first part of the event, to be presented by Marie-Claire Accordino, will focus on Accounting 101 where moms will be educated about basic accounting principals, practical recommendations about keeping good books, and be provided with tips and suggestions about how start-up entrepreneurs can handle accounts till the company is ready to hire a professional accountant for the business. The second part of the event, to be led by Brendan Walsh, will provide information about the legalities involved in setting up a business, factors to consider while picking the right kind of legal entity, and license for a new business as well as the standard requirements for different licenses. He will also share tips on agreements related to general business, shareholders, franchises, agency, etc. By providing a platform to meet, network and build connections, the Mompreneur Meet-Up initiative was designed specifically to provide female entrepreneurs with the necessary support required to develop their passions and ideas into a profitable and sustainable business. To be held at the Media One hotel in Dubai Media City, the meet-up will take place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on 27 October 2013. Providing great networking opportunities, the fee to attend the Meet-up is AED 95 inclusive of refreshments. To attend Mom Souq's Mompreneur Meet-Up, Kindly RSVP at meetup@momsouq.com.
