Sharjah Media Centre-Sharjah-UAE: October 6th, 2013 - The Organizing Committee of the UAE's 42nd National Day celebrations in Sharjah held its first coordination meeting at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Led by Mohammed Ali Al Noman, Head of the Organizing Committee, the meeting was aimed at the formation of working committees, distribution of tasks and discussion of the events to be held on the National Day. The Committee stressed on the importance of this occasion, which embodies the notable achievements and improvements witnessed in the UAE. This importance, according to the Committee, requires exerting every effort to give this national occasion the prominence it deserves. At the beginning of the meeting, Al Noman thanked, on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the UAE's 42nd National Day celebrations in Sharjah, the Sharjah Executive Council, chaired by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for its continuous support. During the meeting, four committees were formed: the Event Committee, the Competition Committee, the Financial Committee and the Advertising and Media Committee. Emphasizing Sharjah's keenness to exert a greater effort to deliver a one-of-a-kind celebration, Al Noman said: “The UAE government is eager to give prominence to this occasion by holding activities that would reflect the identity and history of the country”. He stressed on the need to present all what embodies the UAE's national identity through the participation of all Sharjah citizens and residents in these celebrations for the purpose of expressing love and loyalty to this country and directing the world's attention to the unprecedented achievements of the UAE. Al Noman reaffirmed that the 42nd National Day's events would cover the Eastern and Central regions of Sharjah. The meeting also included looking at the proposals submitted by the Committee members for the purpose of holding a well-organized celebration that reflects the achievements accomplished by the UAE at all levels over the past years.
