United Arab Emirates, Dubai, October 3rd 2013: Al-Futtaim Motors, exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE, has announced the reintroduction of the highly anticipated all-new Yaris Sedan. The new vehicle has been designed to offer “style at play” and will cater to customers looking for a dynamically styled, yet durable car that also provides the lowest ownership and running costs for a vehicle in its segment. When developing the new car, Chief Engineer, Takeshi Matsuda's priority was to deliver tremendous value for money by creating a larger, more stylish vehicle that sets new benchmarks within the segment and is a vehicle which people take pride in owning. “Historically, Yaris Sedan has always been valued for its roomy interior, reliability, low running costs, build quality and strong residual values. We believe that the Yaris' exceptionally loyal customer base, will be delighted with the new vehicle and its many new design features” said Jon Williams, Managing Director, Al-Futtaim Motors at the launch event held at Imax Meydan, Dubai He added: “The small passenger car market makes up almost 22% of the total UAE passenger car market. We had to react to the high demand for affordable small cars by re-introducing the historically hot-selling Yaris Sedan. The new vehicle is a hugely significant model for Al-Futtaim Motors, as it enables us to offer our retail, SME and corporate customers an even wider choice of Toyota vehicles to cater for their individual needs. We will be offering the new vehicle with both a 1.3 and 1.5 litre engines. We have included a sport model in the line-up and all of this will be available at an incredibly affordable price.” Steady growth of the UAE's population and the country's expanding middle class, due to the growing economy, were key factors which drove Al-Futtaim Motors to re-introduce this model. “We see great potential within the car rental agencies which always look for vehicles with excellent reliability, low running costs, and good interior space. The all new Yaris Sedan is also an excellent choice for anyone looking for a stylish, practical, cost effective and safe vehicle. The all-new Yaris Sedan benefits from stronger styling, trading the previous model's curves for sharper angles and tighter lines. The overall length has been increased by +110mm, reaching 4410mm, and the overall width has grown by +10mm allowing for a class top level of interior and cabin space. The height of the all-new Yaris has also been increased by 15mm. The result is a highly aerodynamic body with a wider and more masculine stance with increases in both headroom and passenger volume. Stylish and Dynamic Exterior 
Making best use of the new larger exterior dimensions, the all-new Yaris Sedan reflects an iconic, simple design in keeping with Toyota's “Vibrant Clarity” theme, to create an impressive look. Both the front and rear designs express a wide, strong and unified stance to create an elegant appearance. The large and impressive appearance of the front face, accentuating the lower grille, has a strong visual impact. Following the line of the upper grille, the headlamps wrap far back around to the sides and are pierced by the chrome-accented bars of the grille, making the vehicle appear wider than its actual dimensions while improving its aerodynamic efficiency. The profile features new doors with more expressive character lines, through emphasized concave and convex surface movements. From the rear, the lower part of body creates an impressive low and wide stance. As with the headlamps on the front, the rear combination lamps wrap far around to the sides, emphasizing the wide feel of whole rear body and creating a sense of dynamism while the rear reflectors appear sculpted into the body giving the impression of class above formal presence. Comfortable and Spacious Interior 
The all-new Yaris has a comfortable and roomy interior. The instrument panel, set along a horizontal axis, runs the entire width of the cabin, creating a spacious and distinctive presence. A leather steering wheel with built-in audio switches, piano finish and moulded stitching all combine to give the interior a premium ambience. The front/rear seat couple distance has been increased by 10 mm from the current model. New thin frames have been developed for the front seats, increasing the knee clearance in the rear by 57 mm from the current model. In line with the expanded vehicle size, the rear seat shoulder width has been increased by 35 mm while the cargo space has been increased by 78 mm from the current model to lead the segment. The all-new Yaris Sedan offers the widest loading space in its class and more space between the wheelhouses too. The larger trunk opening width and the lower loading height, further support easy loading and unloading of even heavier, bulky items. Dynamic Performance & Durability 
The all-new Yaris will be available with the option of a 1.5 L or a 1.3 L featuring a 4-speed automatic gearbox. A new EPS (Electronic Power Steering) control has also been adopted which provides feedback to the steering wheel even in a near-neutral position. The all-new Yaris features a newly developed strut-type suspension designed for long-term reliability which also enhances the rigidity of the body improving the driving performance. To ensure a quiet and smooth ride, Toyota has resorted to using a variety of sound absorbing and insulating materials. Moreover, for the front windshield, an acoustic glass has been adopted, to minimise wind and road noise. For enhanced durability, anti-corrosion steel usage has been optimized and in line with the UAE environment rust-resistant sheet steel has also been adopted in areas of the body particularly subject to corrosion. Both these elements combine to give owners greater confidence in their vehicles and ensure the future resale values remain the best in class. All occupants can also enjoy the comfort of the best-in-class air conditioning system which cools the vehicle quicker, than any other car in the segment, and maintains a comfortable temperature longer even in the hottest weather. Enhanced Safety Features The all-new Yaris has many safety features that guarantee a high level of driver and passenger security. These include driver and front-passenger airbags (SRS), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD). Premium Convenience 
The keyless Smart Entry & Push Button Start System (available in the SE+ model) allows locking and unlocking of the doors or trunk. The audio system of the all-new Yaris has been updated and is available with such features as USB connectivity to portable media devices, 6 speakers and a multi-language set up function which includes Arabic. The steering wheel is mounted with audio switches, allowing the driver to control the audio system from the left side of the wheel. For added convenience and occupants' comfort, cup holders have been adopted for the driver seat, front passenger seat, and in the rear centre arm rest, all positioned close at hand for each occupant, realizing superior usability. Colours and Price The all-new Yaris Sedan comes with a wide colour line-up to meet a variety of tastes. A total of eight exterior colours are available, including three newly developed colours such as Quartz Brown, Silky Beige, and Frozen Blue. The interior is available in two variants, Black and Ivory. The 1.3 L model is available in two different packages the S entry model priced at AED 48,500 and SE models from AED 51,900. The 1.5L is available in three different packages the entry level SE priced at AED 53,500, the SE+ model priced at AED 57,900 and a new sport variant, offering exclusive aero parts, sport seats, smoked metallic plating and an exclusive analogue meter, priced at AED 56,900. The all-new Yaris is available across all Al-Futtaim Motors showrooms in the UAE as of October 2013.
