"Fun Hour" to kick-start AUST new academic year

What better way to kick off the new academic year than to organize a ' Fun Hour'. Held by the Department of Student Affairs, the event's main aim was to break the ice between  the freshmen and the returning students and to acquaint them with all the facilities available at Ajman University Campus.

The fun hour included games, competitions and activities such as dart shooting, volleyball, basketball, swimming and short sprints with lemon and spoon. The physical and mental activities were so invigorating to the morals of the students, one could feel the enthusiastic energy in the atmosphere. The last round of the games was a fun 'eat all you can' competition, where bowls of healthy nutritious food and fruits were to be consumed in a set time.

One of the underlying themes of the event was to promote healthy eating habits such as the inclusion of fruits and vegetables in the diet and drinking adequate quantity of water. Mrs. Manal Katalbi, the student affairs coordinator, stressed out the importance of a healthy and balanced lifestyle through proper diet and physical activities.
