Al Tamimi Stables opens its doors for the new season with a special Family Fun Day

A fun-filled day on 27 September for the whole family focusing on building community involvement and environmental awareness.

Dubai, UAE, 18 August 2013  Al Tamimi Stables will host a very special and memorable Family Fun Day on Friday 27 September. Marking the launch of the new outdoor season, the event will focus on Al Tamimi Stables' educational facilities and unique Heroes Programme and include an array of exciting and fun activities, spectacular competition prizes and food stations.

The Family Fun Day, which will raise money for the Dubai-based Children of the Mountain charity, will be open to all ages from 2pm to 8pm and jam-packed with entertainment for the whole family. Spanning 30 acres of land and with over 500 domestic and exotic animals on the farm, the event will include fun recreational and educational activities, from pony rides, nature trails, a petting farm, games and eco-friendly workshops to arts and crafts, live music, musical theatre performances and a miniature fun fair including a raffle draw, apple bobbing, piñatas, bouncy castles and more. Tickets for this exciting event are only AED 75 for adults and AED 35 for kids with family passes available for two adults and three kids at AED 220. Catering company DISH will put on a BBQ starting from AED 55 and a selection of delicious light bites from the recently launched Emirati inspired Nofara Café in JLT will be served.  Visitors can opt to sit back and relax at the café and discover more about the new line up of workshops, classes, school packages, corporate packages and the introduction of the new concept of animal assisted therapy.

The event will centre on the importance of sustainable living and Al Tamimi Stables' Heroes Programme, a special initiative for children that fuses the school curriculum with active, outdoor and experimental learning. The Heroes programme is built on five pillars: Green Hero, Sport Hero, Horse Hero, Creativity Hero and Animal Care Hero. All of the ‘Heroes' encourage personal development, through a greater understanding and care for living things, and teamwork, thanks to activities that involve communication and thinking skills. When key attributes, such as an appreciation for others, are displayed, rewards are given to the children in the form of stamps and certificates to commend and encourage them to grow into well-rounded individuals.

“To create further awareness about the importance of a child's education and community spirit, Al Tamimi Stables Family Fun Day will offer interactive activities that develop both children and adults' understanding on topics such as recycling, sustainability and environmental issues,” states Brian Gailligan, General Manager of Al Tamimi Stables.

Al Tamimi Stables will make a donation to Children of the Mountain, an education-focused charity.
