- 4th successful Corporate Franchise after RTA, DEWA and Dubai Women's college, nursery in the process of establishing strategic alliances with key corporate and government entities in UAE
- Committed to provide quality pre-school education and world class day care facilities to Government departments' women employees through partnerships
Dubai, UAE, 10th Sep, 2013 ...........................British Orchard Nursery, UAEs largest, most established and only ISO certified nursery chain, inaugurated its 10th facility at Dubai Municipality premises on Baniyas Road, Deira. This is in line with nursery's corporate philosophy to reach out and provide quality preschool education and day care services to children of working mothers by taking such facilities to their doorstep. British Orchard Nursery has pioneered the concept of corporate franchising by forming partnerships with many Government institutions in the UAE which include RTA, DEWA, Dubai Women's College and now Dubai Municipality. The concept allows British Orchard to run nurseries for the staff of the Government Departments which offers the flexibility to the mothers to have their children in the trusted care within the same premises; proximity to their little ones helps them concentrate on their work while increasing productivity.
Chief Guest of the ceremony, Mr. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality and Vandana Gandhi - Founder and CEO of British Orchard Nursery, cut the commemorative ribbon in the presence of senior officials from Dubai Municipality and the nursery school. On the occasion, Mr. Lootah stated that the establishment of the nursery comes from the eagerness of Dubai Municipality to create an integrated environment for municipality employees and working mothers to balance their duties as well as provide the necessary attention and care to their children. This also stems from the implementation of the instructions of the Ministry to establish nurseries in government departments and institutions. Dubai Municipality is also keen to provide all the features and services that contribute to raising the level of job satisfaction. Ms. Vandana Gandhi, Founder and CEO of British Orchard Nursery said: “It's our endeavour to serve the society and create confident learners while ensuring young ones develop appropriate social and imaginative skills, preparing them for a smooth transition to big school. It's very assuring for both child and the mother to be in close proximity in the early years and our concept aims to serve the need and fill that gap. We are in discussions with various private and public sector firms to come onboard and have nursery and day-care facilities within their premises. It will surely be a great initiative and put mothers at ease. I am thankful to Dubai Municipality for acknowledging the necessity and giving us the opportunity to contribute to the Emirati working women community”. “We also recognise the importance and need of culture and values in children from a young age and hence have incorporated Arabic language, Islamic studies, UAE culture and concepts plus values as an integral part of the curriculum along with providing well researched teaching methods and a British curriculum.. Emiratisation and patriotic studies are few other strong pillars that we strive to achieve constantly. British Orchard Nursery supports and sponsors volunteer and training programs for Emirati women who would like to become teachers and future leaders,” added Ms. Vandana. With a total of 10 branches across the UAE in Bur Dubai, Jumeirah, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, RTA, DEWA, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai Women's College, Dubai Media City and now in Dubai Municipality, British Orchard brings more than 20 years of collective experience in professional childcare and early childhood education in the UAE. With comprehensive planning, assessments on child development, and transparency for parents to track their child's learning journey, British Orchard Nursery follows the British National Curriculum under Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED) guidelines.
