Oktoberfest was first organised in 1810 in Munich to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig to Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. The celebration was deemed such a success that the newlyweds decided to make it an annual event. Today, Munich's Oktoberfest is the largest festival in the world with over 6 million visitors every year. Some of the Hofbräuhaus Oktoberfest delicacies include grandmother's potato salad, Bavarian beef goulash, veal dumplings in caper sauce and a variety of German sausages, all perfectly paired with our freshly baked breads and famous pretzels. Make sure not to leave home without sampling the lemon and herb roasted chicken from the carving station, the smoked salmon and tasty steamed yeast dough with cherries.

À la carte menu will be served from Saturday to Wednesday, 6pm to 2am while a traditional Bavarian buffet awaits you on Thursday and Friday. During the two weeks, guests who visit Hofbräuhaus will also have a chance to participate in a fun photo competition and win a trip to Munich, with two tickets sponsored by Lufthansa and two nights stay at a Marriott hotel!
