Nespresso Extends its U Machine Range in the Middle East

Luxury Coffee Brand Nespresso adds UMat and UMilk to U Machine Range

Dubai, UAE 14 August 2013 – In its continuous quest to bring the ultimate coffee experiences to its Club Members and consumers in the Middle East, Nespresso has extended its popular U machine range with the launch of a new matt finish machine; the Umat, and a new U model with a clever in-built milk function; the Umilk. 

Offering convenient and sophisticated technology, the U machine model range has been designed to suit modern life and its demands as it allows you to prepare in one single gesture your favourite Grand Cru.  With clever, modular design, U can change its shape to fit contemporary living spaces and interiors, while its cutting edge technology delivers a perfect coffee, time after time.  A pleasure to use and display, U is the machine for those who seek ultimate simplicity, the highest quality coffee, and pure design.

Umilk has an integrated fresh milk solution providing coffee and milk lovers with further flexibility and convenience. Umilk is the most accessible fresh milk solution to date with the new Aeroccino3 milk frother, incorporated into the Umilk machine, delivering smooth and finely textured milk froth for hot and cold milk recipes, while also offering improved cleanliness.

Just like the rest of the U machine range, the Umilk can change its shape as the adjustable water tank and Aeroccino can seamlessly slide around the back of the machine to best adapt to your interior layout. Available in two understated colours – Pure Cream and Pure Black – Umilk is smooth and rounded with elegant curved edges with the Nespresso signature embossed on its sides.

Bringing an additional touch of elegance and refinement to the pure design of the U machine, Nespresso has introduced the Umat. With a premium matt finish, the Umat is available in two elegant colours: Mat Red and Mat Grey. The ultimate example of sophistication and functionality, the Umat fits neatly into any living space with its minimalist, contemporary look.

The Umat and the Umilk have a tactile interface which memorises your favourite cup length, removing the need to select it each time and thanks to the pre-programmed Ristretto, Espresso and Lungo sizes doesn't require reprogramming. In addition to their modularity, working around the user to make their life simpler, Umat's and Umilk's neat cup support is also designed to fit long or short drinks – so you can configure your machine depending on your mood and your favourite coffee rituals. 

In addition to a quick heat up time of 25 seconds, the Umat and Umilk feature automatic brewing, so your coffee begins the second you drop your Nespresso capsule and effortlessly close its neat slider.  This same process creates an ideal coffee extraction, delivering an optimum result as Umat and Umilk stop automatically when desired. The immediate cut-off is the new drop stop feature making them some of the cleanest machines – stopping any coffee drops and automatically ejecting each capsule.  Alongside all the cutting-edge functionality, however, users' consciences can rest at ease as Umat and Umilk possess the optimum energy profile for its class of machine.  The machines' bodies, meanwhile, are made from over 50% of recycled materials (not in contact with food) while it automatically switches to OFF mode after 9 minutes of inactivity.
